In a special upcoming episode of Viceland's Gaycation, Ellen Page and Ian Daniel explore Washington D.C. to learn how groups of marginalized LGBTQ Americans are fighting for their rights under the Trump administration. "We are in this community together because we believe in each other--we believe in what we can do together," stresses one interviewee in the episode trailer. "Even though this seems to be a difficult time, the possibilities are still open," adds another.

The presentation portrays American life through the lens of everyday queers, centered on the Women's March in D.C., where activists and leaders came together in opposition of President Trump. While visiting our nation's capital, Page and Daniel meet up with Oscar winner and activist Michael Moore, who emphasizes we must "never go back to the hate." The Gaycation hosts also visit Vice President Mike Pence's home state, Indiana, to profile local LGBTQ life--this is also Daniel's home, which promps an emotional scene with his mother.
Gaycation's special "United We Stand" episode airs April 30 at 10 PM EST on Viceland. Watch an exclusive preview, below.
