Perfume Genius’s New Album, Too Bright Is Now Streaming

Perfume Genius's third LP, Too Bright, comes out next week, but here's a chance to check it out early. Perfume Genius (a.k.a. Mike Hadreas) worked with Portishead's Arian Utley and John Parish on some of the tracks.

Hadreas has already released the ambitious videos for "Queen" and "Grid," two of the album's tracks. "A lot of these songs are me trying to claim some power in situations that would typically depress or alienate or victimize me," Hadreas explained. "Also, no matter how good I feel there is a darkness hanging, which I don't agree with -- giving it a voice is an attempt at freeing it so it can potentially dissipate."

Too Bright will be available September 22.
