For a full decade, Los Angeles's Chico's Angels have been a muy caliente comedy cult hit. Like a drag Three Stooges, this trio of voluptuous, seductive, and undercover Latina private detectives have been solving crime in little insanely brightly colored short skirts for ten years, and this summer they're back to solve a murder mystery at the Miss Kumquat beauty pageant.
They'll obviously blend right in.
Kay Sedia (winner of the title of Miss Tijuana Natural Springs Water, "The water that springs right through you") and Chita Parol (the smart one who never gets the guy, which makes her so angry all the time) go undercover as contestants all while trying not to stick out. Freida Laye (the blondest, not the brightest one) and Bossman find themselves posing as a reporter and cameraman.
Their new show, Chico's Angels: Pretty Chicas All in a Row, opens July 18, each Thursday through Sunday until August 4 at the Cavern Club Theater (inside the Casita Del Campo Restaurant) in Silver Lake, Los Angeles. Tickets on sale at ChicosAngels.com
