Watch The Trailer For MTV's New Gay High School Dramedy, Faking It
The old saying, "boys will be boys," gets flipped on its head when it's applied to two unpopular high school girls who want nothing more than to be noticed. In MTV's new series, Faking It, Amy (Rita Volk) and Karma (Katie Stevens) are at the center of an universal quest to be popular and have their chance when they're mistaken for a lesbian couple. The news, while shocking in most schools, shoots them up to the popularity ladder and into the running for Prom Queen(s). But not everyone's on board, including Amy and her soon-to-be-stepsister Lauren (Bailey Buntain), the high school's resident queen bee.
The trailer for the Awkward meets G.B.F. dramedy has everything: Two unpopular girls who clearly are pretty enough to be popular.
References to Teen Mom.
An unnecessarily hot straight guy (Gregg Sulkin) with longing in his eyes.
A fab and fierce gay student (Michael J. Willett) with his fab and fierce posse of hotties.
Bitchy blondes who want nothing more than to take other girls down and a pesky principal.
And straight girls pretending to be lesbians.
