A visual reminder of the struggle LGBTQ people still face around the world
Under his label BL33N, Donovan Vriens-McGrath (husband of photographer Matthias) created a new T-shirt dedicated to the struggle faced by LGBTQ citizens of Russia.
The tee is meant as a visual reminder of the anti-gay laws that have recently passed in Russia (and that remain pervasive around the world), acting as a wake-up call before Sochi Olympics:
"Our hope is for a world where no person will have to sacrifice family or freedom, safety or dignity, because of who they are or whom they love," Vriens-McGrath says.
The T-shirt is produced in Los Angeles in 100% cotton. A portion of the proceeds from sales will be donated to ALL OUT, an organization that works on making this hope a reality.
Buyers are asked to wear the shirt and share their support on social media to raise awareness on this important cause.
