Disney World Pulls Its Funding For Boy Scouts Over Gay Ban

The theme park will no longer be subsidizing local BSA chapters

According to The Wrap, Walt Disney World will cease subsidizing local Boy Scouts of America chapters due to the BSA's ban on gay troop leaders. Once the recipients of funding from the theme park's "Ears To You" program--a program that gives money to causes for which Disney World employees volunteer--the local Boy Scout chapters have been cut off.

The Boy Scouts of America still have a ban on gay scout leaders--though they have lifted their ban on gay youth as of this year. This ban on gay scout leaders doesn't jive with The Walt Disney Company's "Standards of Business Conduct" that includes protections against discrimination based on "sex, sexual orientation, and gender identification."

Now you've done it BSA. Sure you can ignore the HRC or GLAAD, but you do not mess with the House of Mouse; they will end you!
