While many of us were winding down from Pride season celebrations, some are still struggling with the issues around sexuality. Brandon Stanton, photographer and mastermind of viral photo series, Humans of New York, posted a photo last week of a young boy crying on a stoop. The caption was a quote from the boy:

"I'm homosexual and I'm afraid about what my future will be and that people won't like me."

The photo quickly went viral, drawing support from a vast community of LGBT people and allies. One such ally just so happened to be Hillary Clinton. Only a couple of hours after the photo was posted, the former first lady and current presidential nominee commented some words of wisdom:

"Prediction from a grown-up: Your future is going to be amazing. You will surprise yourself with what you're capable of and the incredible things you go on to do. Find the people who love and believe in you - there will be lots of them. -H"

Her comment alone has received over 76,000 likes. Whether a sincere gesture or a smart campaign move, Clinton's comment was a welcome message amid the Republican Party's mostly hateful backlash to the SCOTUS same-sex marriage ruling.
