So when will American cities catch on?
Following in the footsteps of Munich and other European cities, the Dutch city of Utrecht will house same-sex traffic lights. Councilman Kees Geldorf hopes the installation embodies Utrecht's commitment to acceptance of all sexualities. "They show Utrecht is a many-sided city," he said. "And they do give cause for reflection while you are waiting for the lights to change."
