Wrapping up their second season of The Slope, a web series about two "superficial, homophobic lesbians" living in Brooklyn's smuggest neighborhood, Park Slope, filmmakers Jungermann and Akhavan have grown a small seedling of a show into a crowdfunded online hit. Though the collaboration ended this year, it has served as a launching pad for both of their individual careers. Look for their projects -- the indie films Disposable Lovers and Inappropriate Behavior (Akhavan), and a Slope-like web series spin-off F to 7th (Jungermann) -- in the near future.
