Paul Reubens is not the only entertainer who credits Kelly Bush Novak with saving his career, but his story illuminates why her clients go out of their way to single her out for praise. Bush, who started her public relations agency, ID, in 1993, has not only cultivated one of Hollywood's biggest rosters of A-list talent -- she's helped to build and develop their careers. It was her encouragement that persuaded Reubens to resurrect Pee-wee Herman in 2007, first for Spike TV, and then for a Broadway show (a new Pee-wee film is due in 2016). And this year she was a producer alongside her client Ellen Page on the LGBT-themed Freeheld, a movie that reflects what she deems "a paradigm shift" in Hollywood towards openly LGBT artists and subject matter. "I wish I could say that opportunities are unlimited and that quality material that accurately reflects the spectrum of our lives is abundant, but despite the exciting progress we've seen in the last five years, we still have work to do," she says. "We must continue to fight derogatory stereotypes, and to support content that positively reflects our experience
