Neil Patrick Harris Didn't Stuff His Undies

Last night, one of the most memorable (and entertaining moments) of NPH hosting the Oscars was "the Birdman bit," as Michael Strahan calls it during a post-awards show interview he and Kelly Ripa conducted today with Harris. That would be when NPH strutted onstage in some tighty whiteys.

Ripa explains that Strahan thought something was "afoul," and then Strahan, who seems very concerned people might think he's checking out a guy's junk, quickly assured them both (and the eager audience): "Let's clarify this, I am not looking at your nether regions. I just want you to know that."

Harris was quick to counter the potential homophobic jibe, knowing full well that Strahan along with millions around the globe were checking out his package, by stating: "Rewind the tape: You were saying, 'Pan down! Pan down!'

But it's all in good fun, right? So Ripa gets things moving along and, as NPH explains: "With the lights, they see through things. Someone said we have to do something so you couldn't tell my religion. They had to take a second pair of underwear and sew it to the first so you couldn't see through it. But no sock!"
