Andy Cohen says his own 24/7 satellite radio channel will be even wilder than his late-night Bravo talk show.
Radio Andy, which will launch on SiriusXM late summer or fall, will be a new 24/7 station created and curated by Andy Cohen, host of late-night Bravo talk show Watch What Happens Live.
Cohen will be on the station live two hours a week at minimum, and he'll be determining the content for the rest of the hours. He's no stranger to SiriusXM, having In 2012, Cohen hosted a five-week series of pop culture shows, with listeners calling in to talk entertainment.
"I love radio, and the creative challenge of programming a channel around people I'm passionate about is intoxicating," said Cohen. "Personally, I've been looking for an outlet where I can do more long-form interviews, and SiriusXM is the perfect home for my brand of uncensored, deep and shallow talk. Furthermore, I consider Howard Stern a media role model, so working under the same roof will be a thrill."
Cohen is executive producer of "The Real Housewives" franchise and hosts the highly-rated reunion specials on Bravo. He's also author of the best-selling memoir Most Talkative: Stories from the Front Lines of Pop Culture, and his latest book, The Andy Cohen Diaries: A Deep Look At a Shallow Year, published by Henry Holt.
For fun, some Tumblr shots from Andy's account--and a bit of what we imagine the radio booth will be like:
