Those People

The anticipated film is gearing up to hit the LGBT festival circuit.

Those People follows Charlie, a young gay painter hopelessly caught up in his infatuation for his best friend, Sebastian. Written and directed by New York native Joey Kuhn, the film invites audiences into the gilded and guilt-ridden world of Manhattan's Upper East Side.

After the arrest of Sebastian's father for a billion-dollar investment fraud scandal, 26-year-old Charlie finds comfort in his budding relationship with a foreign pianist, as Sebastian pulls back from his world. Those People taps into the uncertainty of being young and gay in today's fast-paced world, dealing with the meeting of cultures, the dangers of affluence, and the rigours of love.

The film, which had its world premiere at the Seattle International Film Festival earlier this month, is set to make the rounds of the LGBT film festivals circuit this summer. After showing in Provincetown in mid-June, it will be heading to the Frameline International Film Festival in San Francisco on June 19.
