Following in the stilettoed-footsteps of the greats like Whitney Houston, Cher, and last year's Demi Lovato, Ariana Grande closed New York City Pride's Dance on the Pier with one of the best performances the event has ever seen.
After being introduced by her understandably jubilant brother, Frankie, Grande proved that she knew her audience by opening with a medley of Whitney Houston's "I'm Every Woman" and Madonna's Vogue. After, while pumping up the crowd for the rest of her set, she had a few choice words for the dissenters in the SCOTUS decision:
"Make some noise if you think the four Supreme Court justices who voted against gay marriage should get their heads out of their f*cking asses and join the goddamn celebration!"
She went on to perform her hits "Problem," "Love Me Harder," "Bang Bang," and closed appropriately with "Break Free."
It's no secret that she loves the gays and had a great time. Whoever performs next year has some big little shoes to fill.
