Having already won seven international awards, INDIGO GREY: THE PASSAGE is headed to the Film Society of Lincoln Center.
Directed by out Brooklyn-based filmmaker Sean Robinson and scored by Amy Lee of Evanescence, the short film fuses traditional Irish dance with contemporary styles and martial arts, all set against a dilapidated industrial space.
"Amy's involvement is what really catapulted the project, leading it to more visibility than we expected," Robinson told Billboard. "The film is about taking risks and exploring the lines between fantasy and reality, and by daring to embrace the unknown, we are empowered to experience a catharsis beyond the realm of convention."
The film, which was written and produced by the dance group Hammerstep's founders Garrett Colement and Jason Oremus, is based on INDIGO GREY, a live show experience set to open in New York City this year. Watch the captivating film below.
