Madonna, JLaw, and Anne Hathaway Rumored for Valley of the Dolls Remake

Madonna, JLaw, and Anne Hathaway Rumored for Valley of the Dolls Remake

Valley of Dolls

The remake will revolve around today’s Hollywood music industry.

There's no business like show business. And there's apparently nobody like Madonna, Jennifer Lawrence, and Anne Hathaway to star in a remake of Valley of the Dolls. 20th Century Fox plans to remake the 1967 cult classic, and these three ladies are rumored to bring Anne Welles, Helen Lawson, and Jennifer North back to life. Emmy Rossum is also being eyed for the role of Neely O'Hara.

The original movie, based on the book of the same name by Jacqueline Susann, followed the careers of a group of women in show business. Unfortunately, it seems that we won't be treated with a fabulous '60s period pieces, as the remake will revolve around today's Hollywood music industry.

Paul Rudnick (The Stepford Wives remake) is writing the film, which is being deemed a dark comedy. Fingers crossed for some wildly feminist camp!
