Where have all the good teen movies gone? After the success of Dope, The DUFF, and G.B.F., the demand for a good queer high school flick has never been higher. Luckily, we may have found our next gem.
RainBRO is a coming-of-age story about a homophobic bully named Cameron. After Cameron's bad behavior becomes a problem, his parents decide to send him to an all boys' camp that promises to "straighten" him out. But it turns out Camp Amitola is a conversion camp for gay teens. Although Cameron makes it his mission to escape, he can't help but find camaraderie in his new gay pals.
The concept trailer looks like a fun and heartwarming time, with cute boys galore. With over $9,000 raised only nine days for their Indiegogo campaign, the team needs an extra push to reach its goal of $50,000. And you can even get a cute Camp Amitola shirt out of it.
