The members-only app will provide an online space specifically for queer and gender-nonconforming people.
A community app tailored specifically to queer and gender-nonconforming people, GENDR promises an online community of queer members for chat, photos, stories, and blogs.
Available worldwide on the Apple Store and Google Play, the app also offers tips on transitioning, buying gender-neutral clothing, and going out and dating. There's a membership fee of $5 a month (or $30 a year) to attract serious users only:
"We developed a private, members-only app for our worldwide community," GENDR co-founder Barry Brandon said. "The memberships help pay for building and operating expenses of our global app, but we also hope the fees will deter bullies from joining our community. No bullies allowed!"
"[The membership] raises the value of the GENDR experience when we know everyone is invested in keeping the vibe cool and supportive," he added.
