Kim Kardashian Speaks Out About Kanye West's Relationship With Trump

Kim Kardashian has admitted that she feels differently than her husband about the president, but she isn't above admitting that West' vocal support of Trump has its benefits for the causes she believes in. In an interview with Richardson magazine, KKW said that the relationship helped her secure a meeting with the president to plead for clemency for 63-year-old Alice Johnson, who'd been sentenced to life in prison for a first-time drug offense.

"I am aware that Kanye speaking out in favor of Trump got me through the door -- got him to pick up my call," said Kardashian. "I've always had different opinions than Kanye. But when I went there, and when I saw what could be done, I realized that I could get more done if I just stayed focused on the issue I was passionate about instead of complaining." Trump eventually pardoned Johnson a week after meeting with Kardashian.
