This year, after six seasons, Ryan Murphy said goodbye to his beloved Glee, but was also greeted with a buffet of new successes and opportunities. The season premiere of American Horror Story: Freak Show became the most-watched telecast in FX's history, while HBO's Murphy-directed The Normal Heart won an Emmy for Outstanding TV Movie. Tireless, Murphy is also poised to debut the new Fox show Scream Queens; FX's AHS companion series, American Crime Story; and, of course, AHS's fifth season, Hotel, which, with one viral teaser featuring lead star Lady Gaga, has already become a phenomenon.
