Sweden is handling much more than just delicious meatballs.
In addition to a breathtakingly handsome Alexander Skarsgard and incredibly sweet candy fish, Sweden now has its first ever all-gay national handball team, and we're all sorts of excited.
This past Wednesday, Sweden made the announcement that a national federation would support the openly LGBT team. Swedes can now rejoice knowing that the team is indeed the first LGBT team to be supported by the national sports federation under the country's flag.
The founder of the team, Andreas Carlsson, spoke to Buzzfeed News, explaining the reason behind the teams creation
"We only received good responses, as it's something unique and the LGBT community is so large--these issues are so important worldwide."
