Some of the major shows & stars that got snubbed from the 76th Emmy nominations

The nominations for the 76th annual Primetime Emmys are officially out, and while we're celebrating all the good news that many of our LGBTQ+ faves, we can't pretend like we didn't notice some pretty big snubs this season.

From critically-acclaimed dramas to breakout comedies, some of the best performances and whole entire shows of the year have been overlooked. So grab your popcorn, because we’re diving into the biggest Emmy snubs! (And trust us, you’re going to want to see who got left out in the cold...)

'Fellow Travelers' for Outstanding Limited Series

Fellow Travelersnot being nominated for the Outstanding Limited Series or Anthology category is giving felony offense. Although both Matt Bomer and Jonathan Bailey both received separate acting nominations, it came as a show to see that the beloved and critically-acclaimed miniseries they starred in didn't get a nomination itself, especially with the impact the show made on LGBTQ+ audiences. it deserved more recognition. It was a 10/10 across the board.

'Under the Bridge' for Outstanding Drama Series

We fear the Emmys may have forgotten something. Under the Bridge was one of the biggest hit dramas of the past television season. Although Lily Gladstone was nominated (making history by the way), we feel as if this show as a whole deserved to shine too. The series was incredibly addicting, well written, hosted INCREDIBLE performances and yet... no nomination for Outstanding Drama series. (Make it make sense?!)

Cynthia Nixon in 'The Gilded Age' for Supporting Actress in a Drama Series

Although The Gilded Age was nominated in the overall drama category and co-stars Carrie Coon and Christine Baranski got their own acting noms for their performances, out actress Cynthia Nixon did not receive her own nod. Nixon has been presented on our screens for decades, and her work in The Gilded Age as Ada Brook proves that. Another snub that seems outrageous, if you ask us!

'Girls5Eva' for Outstanding Comedy Series

Girls5Eva, which moved from Peacock to Netflix this past TV season, was nominated only for its writing and its music, but nothing else. In retrospect, that is a bit insane. The series had everything a comedy could ever need, not to mention queer storylines and incredible queer actors like Paula Pell and Andrew Rannells. Justice for Girls5Eva, she will always be famous!

'Griselda' for Outstanding Limited Series

Sofia Vergara scored her first lead actress nom for Griselda and we are glowing about it. HOWEVER, the series as a whole was not nominated. Griselda, which followed infamous drug lord Griselda Blanco's life as she took over Miami, was queer inclusive and was Vergara at her best, so it was kind of a bummer not to see the show get more love from the Emmys.
