Glitter Your Pride

Inspired by the Pride flag, photographer Jeyson Paez captures portraits of a variety of people in all their glittery glory.

"I wanted share the rich history of what these colors truly stand for with the world and our community," Paez explains. "Through this series of glitter portraits, I wanted to highlight what the rainbow Pride flag means. Through many conversations with my own community, I've realized that a lot of my gay friends don't even know why the flag is a rainbow or what each color represents. I wanted to use glitter for these images since I see it as representative of the 'perfect persona' we so often put out on social media -- all shiny and pretty. All the while, the truth about who we really are is tucked safely behind the entire perfect, public image that we've curated."
