Gender as a Spectrum

Joseph Wolfgang Ohlert photographed various individuals who fall at different points on the gender spectrum. Accompanying each portrait with an insightful interview, Ohlert strived to share stories that mainstream media and culture often overlook, but that demand our attention, acknowledgment, and support. Gender, like sexual orientation, is by no means clear-cut or fixed. Rather it's forever-evolving and presenting itself in countless, beautiful manifestations.
