Dream Girls: 7 Portraits of Women Through a Queer, Femme Lens
From the artist: "No subject was asked to pose or instructed on what to do. Most of these were spontaneous or rushed, in fact. With just a couple rolls and a couple minutes to choose an angle or asses their stature, I started to notice their range in positioning and how it accurately mirrored their relationships to their bodies. I loved how natural and quick their instinctual positioning was, how normal and ordinary and occasionally uncomfortable. This, paired with the white clothing and the way the quality of the film softens the subjects, made their very 'average' appearance and aesthetic feel ethereal to me."
