Artist David Talaski's superpowered male pin-ups are a sight to behold!
You may be used to seeing your favorite plucky superheroes kicking butt and getting into complete, utter mayhem on the big screen, but when they're at home, they definitely have a softer, cheekier side to them--and that's exactly what Portland-based concept artist and video game illustrator David Talaski is showcasing. In his colorful artwork inspired by vintage pin-up models, we see what some of our faves (Aquaman, Black Panther, Captain America, and Thor to name a few) are like in some pretty everyday scenarios, like washing cars, working out, and getting out of the shower. There's a lot of skin involved (not that we're complaining), and who knew superheroes could make even the humdrum activities look sensual??
"My husband and I are big fans of superhero movies and comics so I wanted to make something that combined that with my love of vintage pin-up illustration," Talaski told Attitude about his pin-up series. "The thing I find so charming about classic pin-up is that it's both sexy and a little ridiculous."
A little ridiculous? Yeah. Still incredibly sexy? Definitely.
