The drop party of Out’s latest issue with Kim Petras as its cover star happened in partnership with “Can’t Cancel Pride 2023 - The Future Starts Now.” During the event, which took place at Nebula NY in New York City, the musical lineup of “Can’t Cancel Pride 2023” was also announced. Hosted by JoJo Siwa, “Can’t Cancel Pride 2023” will feature Adam Lambert, Brandi Carlile, Big Freedia, Billy Porter, Kelsea Ballerini, Hayley Kiyoko, Ciara, and Kesha.
Sponsored by P&G and Belvedere Vodka, this Out drop party included Big Freedia and Kevin Aviance as featured performers. The event also brought together talent, industry, and proud supporters of the LGBTQ+ community in a joyous and fierce celebration.
Out’s parent company equalpride is the official media sponsor of Procter & Gamble (P&G) and iHeartMedia’s “Can’t Cancel Pride 2023.” This annual fundraising event started during the pandemic following the cancelation of so many Pride events due to social distancing guidelines. Overall, the “Can’t Cancel Pride” events have raised over $11 million for LGBTQ+ organizations like GLAAD, The Trevor Project, National Black Justice Coalition, SAGE, Centerlink, and Outright International.
This year’s “Can’t Cancel Pride” is celebrating the fourth year of this initiative with a “focus on the achievements of the past, the urgency of the present moment, and the hope for the future of the LGBTQ+ community.” Leading up to the event, iHeartMedia radio stations will encourage listeners to watch the “Can’t Cancel Pride 2023” livestream – which is set to take place on June 15 and will also stream on equalpride’s Advocate Channel.
Fans can follow along on social media using the hashtag #CantCancelPride and support the participating nonprofits by visiting cantcancelpride.com or texting “RAINBOW” to 513-654-2622.
