Lady Gaga returned to her Las Vegas residency Enigma this week, and her first show back...didn't go quite as smoothly as she'd probably have liked.
During the show, held at the Park MGM Theater, Gaga always invites a fan onstage with her. On Thursday, that fan got a bit too hype, picking the star up only to fall offstage with her still in his arms into the crowd.
"I was there," a Little Monster wrote on Reddit. "We legitimately all thought she was dead." But Gaga recovered herself, bringing the fan back onstage to sit at the piano with her as she performed "Million Reasons." The pop star "asked everyone on the internet to be nice to him, and played the next song with him like nothing even happened," the fan on Reddit recounted. "Poor guy was crying most of the time until she cheered him up."
Gaga told the crowd, "Everything is okay, everything is okay...we love each other so much we fell off the damn stage...we are like Jack and Rose in the Titanic." Not quite sure about that analogy, Stef, but sure.
Gaga later documented her post-show routine on Instagram, which includes a 5-10 minute ice baths followed by a 20-minute hot bath, then 20 minutes in a compression suit packed with ice packs. While this is probably normal for her due to the toll that performing a high-energy show like Enigma takes on her body -- especially considering her battle with fibromyalgia -- she probably needed the aftercare more than usual after taking that tumble.
