Troye Sivan Just Debuted His First Beauty Campaign
Glossier Play is amping up the intensity of the minimalist cult beauty brand.
I only have three words to say after seeing Troye Sivan's new campaign for Glossier: Hair. Body? Face! Sivan has become the first male celebrity face for the cult beauty brand with the launch of their new range, Glossier Play.
In a set of dazzling photos, Sivan shows off a more vibrant side of the typically minimalist beauty brand, which has exploded across social media since its launch thanks to (it must be said) glossy campaigns featuring a range of impossibly beautiful models with glowing skin -- must be nice! For the first time, the brand is looking past its sheer approach to beauty and dialing up the color. Love that for them!

Glossier has always seemed like makeup for people who were already pretty, focusing on skincare and makeup products intended to perfect rather than transform. But Glossier Play introduces four new products and two tools that amp up the intensity and invites "everyone to continue to choose their own beauty adventure ... only now with even more places to go," according to a press release.
This comes after a long legacy of Glossier prioritizing predominantly female models (and cis ones, tea is tea), as opposed to competitors like Milk Makeup and smaller brands like Fluide, who champion trans and nonbinary models. But including such a visible queer person as the brand's new face is absolutely a step in the right direction.
The new collection includes Vinylic Lip, a high-shine lacquer click-pen (in six shades), a gorgeous liquid highlighter called Nightshine (in four shades), high-shine Glitter Gelee singles (in four shades) we'll all be wearing for Pride, and Colorslide technogel eye pencils (in 14 shades). The collection also features two tools: a high-tech sharpening Blade and The Detailer, a precision silicone brush meant for Glitter Gelee.
Head to Glossier's site to shop the new collection.
