Rihanna Saying 'Vanjie' Is the Best Thing You’ll See Today

Just when I thought I was sick of people saying "Miss Vanjie," Rihanna said "Miss Vanjie" and it's now the sweetest, most melodic phrase in the English language, better than "there's pizza on the counter" or "what's your Venmo handle?"

During an Instagram live session, Rihanna noticed that Vanessa Vanjie Mateo was in attendance, just as she was at Rihanna's Savage x Fenty show during fashion week. "The lip is on! You look great," Mateo commented, probably expecting her compliment to go unnoticed -- one can only imagine how many of Rihanna's 75 million followers were also watching. But nothing gets past Rihanna, who has proven herself to be a RuPaul's Drag Race superfan.

"Thank you Vanjie," Rihanna crooned, adding her own take on Vanjie's signature catchphrase, shaking out her hair and pouting her red lips -- Fenty Beauty, I assume. "You better come to the ball October 12, Mr. Mugler in the back says so," the pop star added, referring to the Return of Porcelain ball, hosted by House of Miyake-Mugler.

Rihanna's Fenty Beauty brand will sponsor a $10,000 grand prize for the Open To All Face category at the Porcelain ball, with contestants judged on facial symmetry, bone structure, skin, smile, and presence -- you must be snatched to win this cash. The ball's website calls for "ostentatiously extravagant beauty verging the point of vulgarity" and "a mesmerizing beauty; something out a dream." The look? "Opalescent couture."

Will Miss Vanjie show up now that Rihanna's extended a personal invitation? Girl, I'd be canceling tour dates and practicing that backwards walk immediately.
