We don't know how this works but George Takei, King Princess, and Elizabeth Warren joined them

You know what gets people out to vote? Covers! Yeah, it's like proven soemwhere, I think. Cover an old spooky classic and turnout skyrockets. that's just how things go. And thankfully, Tenacious D. has pulled together an all-star lineup of cameo appearances to create just the cover for the job.

With the presidential election a week away (ok, a ton of you have already voted) Jack Black and his novelty-metal band Tenacious D have come together again to put their spin on "Tim Warp," yes the track from The Rocky Horror Picture Show. Just in time for spooky season, the Richard O'Brien and Richard Hartley written track is being used as the vessel through which the group implores you to go out and exercise your constitutional right. And they've brought in a ton of reinforcements.

Of the celebrities and politicians that appear in the clip are Pete Buttigieg, John Waters, George Takei, King Princess, Karen O, Phoebe Bridgers, Eric Andre, Elizabeth Warren, Michael Pena, Sarah Silverman, Susan Sarandon, Jamie Lee Curtis, and more. While we aren't getting full-on vocals from them -- which is probably a favor to us -- they all do their part in the little cover that could. Sprinkled throughout are cues to "VOTE"

The video was recorded under quarantine and as such the video quality varies from bit to bit. It looks like Buttigieg might already have his hands on the iPhone 12 Pro Max's new camera with that HDTV footage he turned in.
