Congratulations are in order!
Halsey, the Grammy and MTV Music Award nominated singer and songwriter has announced she is pregnant by posting pictures of herself in a rainbow knitted bikini top on her Instagram, showing off her belly with the simple caption "surprise!" followed by a baby bottle emoji, rainbow emoji, and angel emoji.
In the past, Halsey, who is bisexual, has been in relationships with rapper G-Easy, English althernative rocker Yungblud, and actor Evan Peters, but she has split from all three. Peters was her most recent relationship, but they broke up in early 2020.
Nothing is confirmed, but the 26-year-old singer has recently been seen going out with screenwriter Alev Aydin, whom she tagged in the pregnancy announcement. Aydin shared Halsey's post on his Instagram Stories and added heart emojis.
Whether the singer is planning on raising this baby with Aydin, on her own, or with an as-of-right-now unknown partner, we couldn't be happier for her.
In 2018, Halsey opened up about having a miscarraige in an interview on The Doctors. She said that she had suffered the loss on stage, before she even fully realized that she was pregnant. She also talked about having endometriosis, which she underwent surgery for in 2017. According to Billboard, the singer froze her eggs at the time. "I need to be aggressive about protecting my fertility, about protecting myself," she had said.
Earlier this month, Halsey launched about-face, her first ever makeup line. Just days ago, she was forced to cancel her "Manic" tour because of the ongoing pandemic.
"Safety is the priority," she wrote in a tweet. "I wish things were differet. I love you. Dreaming of seeing your faces again." Now that we know she's pregnant, we're even more thankful she's putting her health first.
