Conrad Ricamora Wants You to Know Nerds Are Sexy Too

The How to Get Away With MurderĀ alum proved it in the best (and sexiest) way!Ā

Conrad Ricamora is here to prove that nerds, in fact, are sexy too.

The How to Get Away with Murder alum (who played one-half of one of TV's most iconic queer couples, Connor and Oliver) was recently cast in the off-Broadway revival of the beloved Little Shop of Horrors musical (taking over for Jeremy Jordan, who himself took over for Looking star Jonathan Groff, reports Entertainment Weekly) and shared the news on his Instagram account!

The post that Ricamora (who will be playing main character and resident florist Seymour Krelborn) shared to his IG featured an adorable looking headshot of him wearing glasses and a sweater in front of the musical's Mushnik's Flower Shop set, and while we already know his character is a big 'ole loveable nerd, one commenter took it upon themselves to remind us all of that.

"Finally...a nerd Seymour..." the commenter said, probably referring to the fact the role Seymour was previously played by Jordan a hunky theater veteran who admittedly doesn't really fit media's traditional "nerd" stereotype

While we know being hot and being a nerd aren't mutually exclusive, there is some contention in the Little House of Horrors fandom about hot actors playing the role of Seymour (Slate published a whole piece back in 2020 when Jordan started playing the character, arguing against casting hunks in the show's lead role).

But still, being a nerd (which is a good word in our book!) doesn't preclude one from being sexy (and vice-versa), so to poke some fun at that commenter, Ricamore took a...um...thirst-inducing shirtless selfie and posted it to his IG story and...you just have to see it for yourself...

"Reading these comments like..." Ricamora captioned his glowing (and *cough* unbuttoned) mirror selfie.

In conclusion, nerds can be -- and often are -- the sexiest to ever do it, period.

Ricamora will make his Little Shop of Horrors debut on January 11, 2022 at the Westside Theatre in New York City, and tickets are on-sale now for performances through September 2022!
