'Euphoria's Hunter Schafer Opens Up About Her Sexuality

Hunter Schafer is getting candid about her sexuality!

The Euphoria star continues to confidently open up about their identity -- from discussing their transition to, more recently, sharing that they currently identify as nonbinary (and go by she/her and they/them pronouns.) Now, Schafer is getting candid about their sexuality as well!

Shortly after Euphoria premiered in 2019, Schafer revealed in a Dazed video that their sexuality was "closer to what you might call a lesbian." Recently, they shared that their sexuality might be a bit more ambiguous.

On Dec. 6, one fan tweeted: "Hunter schafer is a lesbian. Congratulations lesbians. You've taken from me the one thing that matters most."

Schafer was quick to respond, hoping to "vaguely clarify" their sexuality, tweeting:

"As much as I wish this were true I would like to vaguely clarify that unfortunately I am like bi or pan or something."

No surprise, the queer community has spoken... and it's safe to say they're rejoicing! Fans are now deeming Schafer a "bicon" and a "legend."

One Twitter user wrote, "Hunter schafer bi or pan legend"

Another tweeted, "Hunter schafer bicon so true"

Schafer continues to turn heads for their award-winning performance in Euphoria. As a recent Harper's Bazaar cover star, the actress told the magazine that she owes much of her success to the "rich inner world" she created before coming out as trans.

She said, "When your exterior world and your body and yourself are not in line with who you are, you turn inward... My theory is that I built a really rich inner world until I started feeling like myself in my body."

Euphoria season 2 premieres January 9, 2022 on HBO.
