Luke Evans on a red carpet.

Look at the material!

I thought we all agreed we were taking this summer off!

Lockdown started over a year ago, in the process closing many gyms. Some, have since reopened in various capacities. Apparently, while I thought this meant we were all taking "in shape for summer" off this year, others were not on board. Enter: Luke Evans.

"8 months of work but I got there," the actor posted to Instagram earlier this month. He posted a side-by-side photo of him from January 2020 and February 2021. "I won't bother putting statistics as the judges will only judge." The post came accompanied with "flashback Friday" and "nearly 42" hashtags. Evans will turn 42 on April 15.

If you weren't sure how much work the actor has put in, look at the material. We count at least six abs, obliques, and possibly the beginnings of some lower abs.

The photo also makes it clear that Evans has been spending some time on the beaches. While he was in Australia, he often posted photos of himself in his budgie smugglers, on yachts, and going hiking shirtless.

Evans is currently in London working on a live-action version of Pinocchio for Disney+. In that project, he will play The Coachman. He recently got his teeth made into a mold to create new teeth for himself for that film. In case you aren't familiar, the role is one of the villains of the feature.
