The beauty mogul's car flipped three times after hitting black ice.
Beauty mogul and YouTube influencer Jeffree Star has said he will wear a back brace for months following a traumatic car accident this weekend.
On Friday, Star's team uploaded a photo to Twitter of him in a hospital bed with a neck brace on. Beside him was longtime friend Daniel Lucas. According to the post, the pair were driving in Wyoming and hit a patch of black ice. The car flipped three times and they were rushed to the hospital.
Lucas is an old friend of Star's and the two met 15 years ago when Star was on the rock music concert circuit. Lucas eventually became Star's backup dancer, as he pursued his own career with Star even calling him a cousin at one point. The pair recently reconnected on camera for Lucas to share his experience battling cancer. In the video, Lucas revealed he went through 37 rounds of chemo therapy.

Star called the crash "one of the scariest moments of our entire lives."
"I'm in excruciating pain because my back is broken and I have vertebrae fractures on my spine," he wrote. "My doctor said it will take a few months but I should make a full recovery." According to Star's posts, Lucas was under heavier observation as he suffered internal injuries that were compounded by his fight with colon cancer.
On Saturday, Star uploaded the recently filmed video.
"We filmed this video weeks before yesterday's accident," Star wrote in the video caption. "Thank you to everyone for your well wishes, we are doing the best we can right now."
