Lee Pace Is an Intergalactic Emperor Daddy in New Foundation Trailer

He can rule our empire any time!

The first trailer for Apple TV+'s upcoming science fiction series Foundation is here, and we are living for Lee Pace as intergalactic emperor clones!

Foundation, a new series coming to Apple TV+ this fall, is based on Isaac Asimov's groundbreaking novel series of the same name and follows The Foundation, a "band of exiles who discover that the only way to save the Galactic Empire from destruction is to defy it." Okay! We love a high-concept show!

According to Deadline, the series follows Dr. Hari Seldon (played by Jared Harris), who predicts the fall of the empire and forms a band of followers in order to "attempt to rebuild and preserve the future of civilization."

Out actor Pace is playing the Galactic Emperor himself, leader of the Cleons, a "long line of emperor clones" who fear their dynasty may come to an end. His character's name is Brother Day, but we're thinking he's more like Daddy Day!

The trailer features a lot of huge and incredible outer space scenes, stretching across "thousands of worlds" in the distant future. There's plenty of action, but the show also promises to delve into deep subjects of identity, legacy, and the future.

In the teaser, Apple TV+ also revealed that the 10-episode series will debut on Friday, September 24. David S. Goyer is executive producing and serving as showrunner. It also stars Lou Llobell, Leah Harvey, Laura Birn, Terrence Mann, Cassian Bilton, and Alfred Enoch.

Watch the trailer below!

The first three episodes of Foundation will premiere the same day, on September 24, with one new episode coming out every week after that.
