Cole is known for her roles in TV & movie titles like Doctor Who and Stars Wars and was a top model in the 2000s!

Supermodel and actress Lily Cole is publicly opening up about her sexuality.

In her new book, Who Cares Wins: How to Protect the Planet You Love, the 33-year-old environmental activist and British style icon, who at one point in her modeling career was one of the "top 30 models of the 2000s," talks openly about her queerness, and how her identity as a queer person is

"Just as we do not choose the circumstances and ancestral patterns we are born into, none of us choose the cultural norms and laws we inherit," Cole writes, also opening up about raising her daughter with husband Kwame Ferreira, whom she married back in 2012. "Had my mixed-race daughter been born in a different country, she would have been a crime. If I were living in another country today, my queerness would be a crime."

"I like that world because of its openness," she then said about being a part of the LGBTQ+ community and wanting to share the fact that she's "not straight" with the world, in a recent interview with The Sunday Times' Style magazine. "I think all those boundaries are quite rigid."

Though most notable for her modeling, Cole is a passionate environmental activist as well as an actor, whose filmography includes roles in popular television and movie titles that include Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Doctor Who, Snow White and the Hunstman, and The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus.

Congrats, Lily! Welcome to the family!
