Kit Connor is publicly opening up about his sexuality.
The 18-year-old British actor, who is best know for playing Nick Nelson in Netflix's popular live-action TV adaptation of queer teen romantic graphic novel series Heartstopper, returned to Twitter after a brief hiatus to let his followers know that he is bisexual.
"Back for a minute," Connor wrote in his tweet. "I'm bi. Congrats for forcing an 18-year-old to out himself. I think some of you missed the point of the show. Bye."
Connor's public coming out comes on the heels of news last month that he had taken a hiatus from the social media app following accusations from critics that he was "queerbaiting."
In past talks with the press, Connor had previously said that he did not wish to label his sexuality at this point in his life. Connor was accused of "queerbaiting" by online viewers after he was caught holding hands with a female actress (his A Cuban Girl's Guide to Tea and Tomorrow co-star costar Maia Reficco) despite playing a queer character in Heartstopper.
"This is a silly silly app. Bit bored of it now, deleting twitter :)," he wrote at the time.
