Gym Bro Scammed TikTok Twink Out of $20 – Here's the Hilarious Story

TikTok star Chris Olsen has gone viral after sharing the story of a meet-cute gone wrong.

"I just got scammed by someone I thought was hitting on me at the gym," he starts the video, which currently has over 2 million likes.

Olsen goes on to tell the story of a guy who walked up to him during his work out. "He starts to come over and I'm like, 'is this my Wattpad moment? Am I about to find love among the treadmills?'" He then gives him these straight guy nod and says "I haven't seen you at this location before."

Olsen and the attractive, tall man begin to converse in gym small talk. "At this point, I know the vibes are flirty."

When he asks him for his social media, the gym bro doesn't have any, because he's not like other girls. Alas, he asks Olsen if he can put his number in his phone. "This man was charming so I felt safe, I felt home."

After gym bro has Olsen's phone in hand, he tells him to carry on with his set. "I'm thinking he wants to watch me do my pull-ups." But while he was doing his pull-ups, the guy was "typing away" on his phone. When he finally does hand the phone back, it's locked and the gym bro quickly departs.

"As I'm finishing up, I go to my texts to text him 'nice to meet you'. There's no text. There's no texts there. So now I'm like, what the fuck did this man do on my phone?" After looking through his emails, Olsen realizes what happened. "He Venmo'd himself $20 and just said Merry Christmas."

Olsen laughs, "I'm never talking to anyone again."

More plot twists than a Marvel movie. The comments are laughing along with Olsen. "$20 is such a humble swindle too," one reads. "This story is worth the $20," another person wrote.
