Andrew Scott Cast in Thriller ‘Strangers’ from Andrew Haigh
Andrew Scott (Fleabag, Sherlock) is set to star in a new thriller from Weekend and Lean on Pete filmmaker Andrew Haigh. Scott will star in Strangers as a screenwriter named Adam who has a chance encounter with his mysterious neighbor (Paul Mescal) that changes his life forever. As the two get closer, Adam discovers that his long-dead parents (Claire Foy, Jamie Bell) are living in his childhood home, both looking the same age they did on the day they died.
Guy Branum Joins Stacked Comedy Cast for Apple’s ‘Platonic’
Apple TV+'s upcoming comedy series Platonic has rounded out its cast, finding supporting players for the show about a platonic friendship between Sylvia (Rose Byrne) and Will (Seth Rogen). Branum has been cast as Stewart, a lawyer. Also in the cast are Janet Varney, Emily Kimball, Vinny Thomas, Luke Macfarlane, and Andrew Lopez, among others.
Jeffery Self Joins Amazon Series ‘The Horror of Dolores Roach’
Search Party'sJeffery Self has joined the cast of Amazon's upcoming The Horror of Dolores Roach series, based on the podcast of the same name. The series stars Justina Machado as a woman who got out of prison after 16 years to find that her neighborhood of Washington Heights has been severely gentrified. There she meets up with an old friend named Luis (Alejandro Hernandez) and realizes she must do what she has to in order to survive - even if that means resorting to cannibalism.
Kali Reis to Star Opposite Jodie Foster in ‘True Detective: Night Country’
Professional boxer, Indigenous rights advocate, and actor Kali Reis has been cast to star opposite Jodie Foster in the next season of HBO's crime anthology series True Detective.
The 4th season, from writer-director-showrunner Issa Lopez takes place in Ennis, Alaska, where six men vanish without a trace from the Tsalal Arctic Research Station. Foster and Reis star as detectives Liz Danvers and Evangeline Navarro.
Kiersey Clemons Cast in Apple’s Live Action ‘Godzilla’ Show
Hearts Beat Loud and Zack Snyder's Justice League star Kiersey Clemons has joined the cast of Apple TV+'s live action Godzilla and Titans series set in Legendary's Monsterverse, which follows a family unlocking buried secrets and discovering their link to the secret organization Monarch after the shocking revelation that Godzilla and other monsters are real.
Clemons will play May, an American ex-pat with a "roguish exterior she uses to protect herself as well as others. Whether it be deciphering a code or finding the loophole, she is always three steps ahead of everyone around her." Other stars include Anna Sawai, Ren Watabe, Joe Tippett, and Elisa Lasowski.
Rebel wilson to Star in New Road Trip Movie
Rebel Wilson, who came out last month, is set to star with Charles Melton in the upcoming film K-Pop: Lost in America. The film follows a breaking K-pop group that finds itself stranded in Waco, Texas, just days before they're supposed to play a huge concert in NYC. Along the way on their trip from Texas to New York, they learn to love the people of the state they were stranded in.
‘Fire Island’s Zane Phillips Joins Kim Cattrall in Netflix drama ‘Glamorous’
Zane Phillips is one of several new cast members announced for the cast of Netflix' upcoming makeup drama Glamorous. The show will star Miss Benny as a gender-nonconforming young man whose life is stuck until he gets a job working for legendary makeup mogul Madolyn Addison, played by Cattrell.
Phillips will play Chad, Madolyn's son and Director of Sales caught up in a never-ending quest to win her approval. Other cast members include Jade Payton, Michael Hsu Rosen, Ayesha Harris, and Graham Parkhurst.
