Shaun Ross is officially engaged!
The out singer-songwriter took to Instagram on Wednesday, August 10 to announce the big news: he's officially engaged to actor and longtime boyfriend -- now fiance -- David Alan Madrick!
Ross tells Out that the two New York natives (Ross is from the Bronx and Madrick is from Queens) first met 11 years ago and had been dating for three years before they decided it was time to take their relationship to the next level. Ross popped the question to Madrick on July 7 in a very intimate setting: their home. And with the help of photographer Laiken Joy and designer Jean Dousset (who crafted a custom Zoe Emerald-Cut Diamond Eternity Band, set with 19 custom-cut, lab-grown 9.5-carat diamonds, from the Oui Collection), this moment in their lives was eternalized forever via these gorgeous engagement photos.
"I love him very dearly as he has made me feel so comfortable being a Black queer man," Ross told Out about his love for his fiance. "He said to me, 'you want to do this with me?' And I said, 'absolutely and forever.'"
