We've just learned that global superstar Lil Nas X has been named the President of League of Legends.
In a new, original video skit, we see the Grammy-winning music icon take over the offices of the popular video game company, declaring himself President and ruling the way only he can.
X's presidential desk is perfectly fitting for him. The desk is covered in gold, surrounded by statues of American presidents, and next to a giant golden office chair. "I am the boss," his nameplate says.
"I guess part of me wanted to try something new. I left my stamp on pop music, I left my stamp on pop culture, now I've decided to be the new president of League of Legends. You can call me Lil Nas Xecutive."
But presiding over the company isn't all he's doing. X also wrote an original song called "STAR WALKIN'" which will serve as the official anthem of the League of Legends World Championships 2022.
"I will be the greatest President of League of Legends, of all time," Lil Nas X said in a statement. "Also, I'm going to make the best Worlds anthem of all time and put on the biggest, coolest, sexiest Worlds in the history of all Worlds."
In the video, he replaces all digital sounds in the League office with a clip of his new song. The printer plays it, ringtones play it, the fridges play it, and even the employees' cars play the song!
"If you could get tired of this song, you would be tired of this song," Nas says as it plays on literally every phone in the office. "But you won't get tired of it, because It's so good!"
And the thing is, it really is! (We can't wait to hear the rest of it for ourselves!)
Even better, President Nas says that there will be two music videos for the song! In a tweet, he said that the song will have one video from League of Legends, and one from him. As Hannah Montana once said, it's the best of both worlds.
The pop star and rapper is also designing a new Prestige skin for the character K'Sante, the Pride of Nazumah. The skin, titled Prestige Empyrean K'Sante, will only be available from November 3 to November 14.
Nas will also be taking the stage live at the opening ceremony of the World Championship Finals at the Chase Center in San Francisco on November 5.
Get ready League of Legends, Lil Nas X is taking over. "STAR WALKIN'" is available for presave now, and will debut on September 23.
