Are Braunwyn Windham-Burke and Jennifer Spinner engaged?
The two sparked engagement rumors when Windham-Burke shared a photo of the two of their hands with diamond rings and the caption "We started 2023 with a promise" and a heart emoji in her Instagram Stories.
Windham-Burke's ring was on her ring finger on her left hand in the photo.
Fans obviously jumped to the conclusion that the rings were engagement ones... and that the couple, who has been dating for five months, was now engaged.
Windham-Burke, who quickly deleted the story after it was posted, has now spoken up about what the rings and promise were all about. "We did begin 2023 with a promise to one another to spend the rest of our lives together," she told People. However, it wasn't exactly an engagement.
"We were in North Carolina on New Year's Eve," she continued. "And at 11:59, we did a little commitment ceremony to each other where we exchanged rings and told the other, 'I love you, I want to be with you, this is my promise to you, this is where we're headed, I want to spend the rest of my life with you.'"
"It was just the two of us. It was really intimate and beautiful and special and just a really cute moment we shared together as a couple," she added. Still, she emphasized that it's not an engagement "yet."
"We're madly in love and I have no doubt that's where we'll end up one day," she said of her girlfriend. "But right now we're just enjoying our time together and soaking up the love and the excitement of having found one another."
Real Housewives of Orange County star Windham-Burke and Spinner became Instagram official back in August, and have been strong ever since. The two are currently on a road trip across America looking for a "forever home" where they can share the rest of their lives together.
