Ariana Grande is famous for her relationships and breakups, and now, there’s a whole new saga of drama to know all about.
Early this week, the news broke that Grande and her husband of two years Dalton Gomez were headed for a divorce. What’s more, is that the news broke that they’d been separated for some time, and now, we know that she’s already moved on.
So, what exactly is all the drama between Grande and Gomez? And who is Grande dating now?
Grande and Gomez had started dating in January 2020. Before she met Gomez, Grande was in high-profile relationships with actor Pete Davidson and late singer Mac Miller. As a real estate agent, Gomez was seen as a change of pace for Grande, who had been dating several fellow celebrities.
According to reports, Gomez had a difficult time adjusting to Grande’s celebrity lifestyle and A-list needs. He was reportedly “taken aback” by everything from paparazzi attention, to her international travel, to needing to be accompanied by security when in public.
The differences became too hard for Gomez when Grande traveled to England to film
Wicked. The
two have been separated since January.
While filming Wicked, Grande met her co-star Ethan Slater. In the movie she plays Glinda, and he plays Boq. In the musical and movie, Boq has an unrequited crush on Glinda and ends up with Nessarose, Elphaba’s younger sister. Now, the two are reportedly dating.
Slater is currently most famous for originating the role of Spongebob in the Spongebob Squarepants Broadway musical. He was nominated for a Tony Award for the role and won a Drama Desk Award.
Slater has also previously been married. In 2012, he and his high school sweetheart Lilly Jay started dating, and six years later, they were married. The announcement that Slater and Grande were dating is also how we found out that Slater had split with his wife. The two celebrated their four year wedding anniversary last November.
