Meet the Boys of the 'Aristotle & Dante' Movie Adaptation

Discover the real actors playing ‘Aristotle & Dante!’

Written and directed by Aitch Alberto, the film adaptation of Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe is set for a premiere date of September 8, 2023. The movie, which is based on the 2012 coming-of-age novel by Benjamin Alire Sáenz, had its world premiere at the 2022 International Toronto Film Festival.

In Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe, two Mexican-American teenagers end up meeting in El Paso, Texas and find an immediate connection between them. The story is set in 1987. The title characters are played by up-and-coming actors Max Pelayo (Aristotle a.k.a. “Ari”) and Reese Gonzales (Dante).

Pelayo (@maxpelayo__ on Instagram) was previously seen in the 2021 Amazon Prime Video original series Panic, where he played a student. In turn, Gonzales (@reese.gonzales on Instagram) has been seen in projects such as Young Sheldon, The Terminal List, Kidding, The Birthday Boys, and White Shoe.
