The controversial star of The Social Network and Call Me By Your Name interviewed actress, producer, and mental health coach Dani Druz on the latest episode of his Armie HammerTime Podcast. During their conversation, Hammer disclosed that he tried sleeping with men in the past.
"I tried hooking up with a dude one time, and it was hilarious," Hammer recalled. "Because I was like, you know what? Gay dudes seem to have it so easy."
Hammer recalled meeting a "handsome, French" man and decided that he should give it a try. "I was like, 'Okay, this could work. Let's try this,'" the actor said. "I remember I started making out with him (…) just being like, 'God, beards. I get why women like it when you shave. This thing is f*cking rough."
Hammer continued, "I put my arms around him, and I was like, 'Oh my god, these shoulders are so wide. He's so big. Like, he's almost my height.' Like, this is so strange. And it did, physically, for me, absolutely nothing. Not even a twitch."
"And then I remember that we were, like, making out, and it was kind of getting hotter and heavier. But I was going through the motions. He reached for my d*ck, and I was like, 'You're not gonna touch my flaccid penis.'"
Hammer's reasons for experimenting with men, however, involved his own feelings about dating women. "Like, women are the worst," the actor declared.
One of Hammer's most famous roles is as gay graduate student Oliver in Call Me By Your Name. More recently, he's become the center of controversy when several women accused him of sexual harassment and abuse.
In 2021, several women came forward with screenshots of alleged DM and text messages Hammer sent them detailing violent cannibalism fantasies against their consent.
In 2017, another woman accused him of rape. Hammer has denied any unlawful activity. The LA County District Attorney also declined to pursue criminal charges, citing insufficient evidence.
