During In an interview, The Bear and Bottoms superstar Ayo Edebiri revealed that her first kiss was with another girl.

Edebiri, who is starring in Luca Guadagnino's upcoming film After the Hunt, was recently on the cover of W Magazine, and revealed the story behind her first kiss, which took place at a party when she was younger.

"My first kiss was in my friend's house playing spin the bottle, and then I lied and told everybody that that wasn't my first kiss, but it was," Edebiri recalled.

After laughing and saying "no," it wasn't a good kiss, Edebiri was asked if she saw the person again after the kiss.

"Yeah, well, we're not like friends still, but we're still friendly," she replied.

"So, he'll see this and know that it was him?" the interviewer asked.

After stuttering and laughing, Edebiri revealed that the kiss was with another girl. "She will see this and know that it was her," she replied.

Edebiri, who played queer teen Josie in the 2023 comedy Bottoms, doesn't often talk about her dating life or sexuality, but has mentioned it a few times, including in an interview with Kolor magazine where she said "often you'll find yourself being one of the few women of color in a room or queer person" while working in Hollywood.

She also participated in queer women's website Autostraddle's recent poll of 78 "queer writers, actors, and filmmakers" listing their ten favorite lesbian films.
