The “name a more iconic duo” challenge has just leveled up.
On Wednesday, October 11, Taylor Swift hosted the grand premiere of her new concert movie, Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour, at The Grove in Los Angeles. Celebrities in attendance included Hayley Kiyoko, Becca Tilley, Maren Morris, Simu Liu, Julia Garner, Fortune Feimster, Adam Sandler, and Mariska Hargitay, to name a few.
Alas, the most legendary attendee at The Eras Tour movie red carpet was Beyoncé, who just wrapped the Renaissance World Tour on October 1 and also announced her own concert film, Renaissance: A Film By Beyoncé, scheduled to open on December 1 in theaters.

To highlight this mind-blowing occasion, Swift shared an Instagram boomerang of her and Queen Bey inside the movie theater. The “Lavender Haze” singer wrote:
“I’m so glad I’ll never know what my life would’ve been like without Beyoncé’s influence. The way she’s taught me and every artist out here to break rules and defy industry norms. Her generosity of spirit. Her resilience and versatility. She’s been a guiding light throughout my career and the fact that she showed up tonight was like an actual fairytale.”
With a global weekend box office gross expected within the $150-200 million range (via The Hollywood Reporter), Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour has already become the most profitable concert film of all time. The movie was directed by Sam Wrench, who had experience directing concert films from artists like Brandi Carlile, Ben Platt, Lizzo, Billie Eilish, and Jennifer Lopez, as well as the Apple TV+ competition series My Kind of Country featuring Orville Peck.
Though most of the dates for The Eras Tour have already been fulfilled, the tour resumes in Latin America starting in November 2023. The tour is then scheduled to keep going throughout 2024 in Asia, Australia, Europe, and back in North America. Now that’s what we call stamina!
On the BeyHive camp, fans are bracing for the release of Renaissance: A Film By Beyoncé in theaters. Considering that Swift is not booked to do any performance around December 1, we can only assume that she will also attend the grand premiere of Beyoncé’s upcoming concert movie.
Gotta love the sisterhood synergy between these main pop girlies!
