2023 was a busy year for LGBTQ+ couples getting engaged and also tying the knot. But on the flip side, some well-known queer couples called it quits after being together for a few years.
Relationships can end for various reasons. Even though fans can sometimes feel disappointed about their favorite LGBTQ+ couples splitting up, it’s important to recognize that people should live happy lives, which can sometimes lead to breaking up.
Overall, we wish nothing but love and happiness to these celebrities who made the difficult decision to split from their partners.

Though they were engaged for a little over a year, Queer Eye star Antoni Porowski and his partner Kevin Harrington called off the engagement and ended their relationship.
"After many conversations and reflection during the wedding planning process, Antoni and Kevin have amicably decided to part ways," a representative for Porowski told People. "While they still have a lot of respect for each other, as they talked more about the future, they realized they were on different paths."
"They both remain focused on work, and are surrounding themselves with friends during this time," the representative said.

After a whirlwind romance that included confirming their relationship, getting engaged, and then eventually getting married earlier in 2023, news broke in November that celeb hairstylist Chris Appleton had filed for divorce from Euphoria and The White Lotus star Lukas Gage after less than a year of being together.

Soccer superstars Ashlyn Harris and Ali Krieger reportedly split up on September 19, 2023. The couple first got married in December 2019 and adopted two children together over the years.
Thankfully, reports indicate that their divorce has been amicable. Harris and Krieger are seemingly both on board to develop an efficient co-parenting dynamic between them to care for their two kids.

According to a September report in theDaily Mail, the Looking star and his partner, Steve Brockman, reportedly parted ways. They unfollowed each other on Instagram, and Tovey hinted at their breakup by sharing a picture with his dog that included the caption “It’s just you and me kid.” They started dating in 2016 and got engaged in 2018.
After news of their split made headlines, Russell edited the caption to read, “This is all for you my son…”

TikTok stars Nicky Champa and Pierre Boo decided to end their relationship after getting married in August 2022. Overall, they were together for six and a half years, having been boyfriends since 2017.
“With social media, it’s a bit complicated. Our relationship became a brand,” Champa told Out in an exclusive statement in July.

Ricky Martin tied the knot with painter Jwan Yosef in 2017. Over the years, they had two children together, Lucia and Renn.
On July 6, 2023, Martin and Yosef released a joint statement announcing the end of their marriage. The popstar wrote in an Instagram post, “For some time, we have considered transforming our relationship, and it is after careful consideration that we have decided to end our marriage with love, respect, and dignity for our children – preserving and honoring what we have experienced as a couple all of these wonderful years.”

This year, Billy Porter and Adam Smith have also chosen to divorce after having a six-year marriage. In a July statement to People, Porter and Smith noted that their “decision was an amicable and mutual one and was made after much consideration.” The couple first met in 2009 and dated for many years before tying the knot.
